5. Reusable Swim Diaper
[Update: After testing and trialling these products, we’ve found that finding a suitable place to wash reusable diapers can be tricky abroad compared to using reusable diapers at home]. Travelling with babies or potty-training toddlers can be tricky, especially when you’re trying to pack light! While nappies/diapers are readily available in supermarkets in Tonga’s most developed islands, like Vava’u and Tongatapu, getting diapers can be little more challenging in more remote islands. Get prepared for beach time with some swim nappies, like these Reusable Swim Diaper Training Pants.

7. Travel Stroller
A must-have for parents travelling with babies is a lightweight fold-up travel stroller. We like these travel strollers from Mutsy, which fold up to an incredibly small size and only weigh 9.5kg / 20.9lbs.

Something suitable for the whole family, don’t take any chances with the drinking water by packing a Lifestraw Bottle. They come in a range of fun colours for the kids.

9. Kids Lifejacket
Needless to say, you’re sure to be out on the water when exploring Tonga. Kayaking, whale watching, snorkelling tours, ferry crossings are just some of the ways that you’ll be enjoying the beautiful waters of Tonga. Unfortunately, not all operators or resorts have child-size jackets available, so if you plan to get out on the water and you’re not sure that your chosen watersports operator has children’s lifejackets, be sure to take some with you!
On a similar note, think about kids snorkel gears so get the best underwater experience possible on Tonga.
